Wilde Child brewery open day

A friend's birthday took me to the recently relocated Wilde Child brewery in Armley, Leeds.

Free entry, £3 glass deposit (much better than the disposable plastic option) so no brainer.

We were presented with 4 cask, 2 keg and a range of their cans. I started with the cask Dreams of Cascadia - a nice fresh single hop beer. Looks like this is a new one for the brewery.

We sat down in the temporary shelter where we could enjoy the warmth of the sun and the sounds of the in house band. At that time it was Romany music, a three piece - two violins and a guitar. Nice volume and increasingly lively as the set went on.

Also visible was the food stall outside - 7 tapas type options, which I didn't sample but looked very good.

Second beer was the Opaque Reality which I had previously enjoyed at the Falcon Tap and was no less amazing this time - fruity and creamy, a very tasty beer.

Final time up to the bar and I went for the Celestial Projection - a very generously hopped beer.

Managed to have a quick chat with Keir, the owner, who explained he'd moved here in February and was hoping to organise similar events here in future.

My group took advantage of the 5 for £14 can offer to enjoy some of the great beers later on.

Signage suggests the next brewery open day is 14th July 12pm-7pm - I recommend popping down.

Wilde Child are also advertising their "Crazy Town" event on 3rd/4th August, a celebration of all beers which are "totally out there". With Wilde Child, Beer Ink, Five Towns, Brew York, North riding brewery and Brass Castle this sounds like something worth attending (especially with the mention of "and more crazy beers from Raynville Superstore" - one of the best beer shops I've visited!)
