We were in Durham so popped in to this bottle shop we had been recommended, hoping to pick up a Christmas gift perhaps. First of all we were made very welcome by our host and owner Ben.
Seeing the great range of keg beers on offer we thought we'd have a quick drink while browsing. There were 6 on offer, including a very tempting 12% Atom beer, but since it was only lunchtime we went for a third of Turning Point Groundhog Day. A delicious fruity milkshake beer.
Loads of shelves of bottles and cans were available - many of which were unfamiliar or rare - so we were struggling to only buy what we could carry around Durham all day.
