A friend of mine lives in Bolton so I made the trip across for their beer festival for the second year in a row.
Hosted at the Ukrainian club, it's just a short walk from Bolton train station to the festival. Free entry for Camra members (always a nice bonus) - a glass and a programme on entry.
The main hall has the set of 50 cask beers at the far end, and plenty of seats in the main room and the cosy side room at the back. It was very warm so we took advantage of the benches out front and sat in the sun. Quite a few familiar beers here so I reacquainted myself with some Lancashire beers.
Food was available from the ever effusive Nkono
All On Black was my winner of the day - a collaboration between Blackedge and Blackjack breweries to produce an oatmeal coffee stout.
