Clitheroe Beer Festival is back! Join us on the 14th, 15th and 16th of May 2026 at the Assembly Hall of St Michael and St John Parish Centre, Clitheroe. We're talking over 70 real ales, indie beers and craft ciders. There will be brand new first pours and exclusive one-offs you'll only find at this festival. Don't worry if beer or cider isn't your thing we have gin, prosecco ane wine. Throw in delicious food and live music, and it will be the festival to visit this spring. New for 2026 we will be taking card payments at the bars. Tokens will still be available for those of you who prefer to use cash or just enjoy being old school.

Brewed especially for the Festival, this potent golden brew features notes of pine, citrus and tropical fruit with a significant bitter finish. Citra, Simcoe and Amarillo hops, on top of a big malty base delivers a West Coast Triple IPA…but with more oomph!
Blue Monkey Giltbrook, Nottinghamshire
A rich full-bodied Stout with huge toffee aromas and delicious caramel undertones. A crunchy in a beer! (VF)
A light, full-bodied and smooth Golden Ale. A base of British Maris Otter malt with just a touch of Caramalt and hopped using Alora, Lotus and Nelson Sauvin. (VF)
Bowland x Mark Briggs Clitheroe, Lancashire
Especially brewed for the Festival, a new iteration of Engine Oil. Thick, velvet rich, with a coffee coloured head and notes of chocolate, vanilla, treacle, caramel and toffee.
Brewed especially for the Festival in collaboration with Mark Briggs, local beer journalist and beer advocate. A well-balanced malt forward Extra Special Bitter leaving a taste of biscuit, toffee and caramel. Hopped with Challenger, Fuggles and Goldings. (GF)
Brehon Brewhouse Dunelty, Co. Monaghan, Ireland
A toasted malt aroma with flavours of dark chocolate and coffee. Full-bodied and full of flavour.
Brewsters Grantham, Lincolnshire
Listed as one of Roger Protz's 300 Beers to Try Before You Die. A Golden Ale with a hint of malt sweetness from Caramalt with passion fruit and grapefruit aromas. Nelson Sauvin hops give a complex zesty hop palate with a fresh herby finish.
Crisp, light and hoppy. The extra pale malt gives a slight sweetness on the palate and the addition of wheat gives a 'cream' element with very low bitterness. (VF)
Castle Rock x Burton Bridge Nottingham, Nottinghamshire Burton on Trent, Staffordshire
A collaboration brew for International Women's Day 2026. Dark, with a creamy head, this Cascadian Dark Ale uses Krush and Mosaic hops, which gives flavours of citrus and ripe berries leading to a very subtle bitterness. (VF)
Charnwood Loughborough, Leicestershire
A light refreshing golden beer, with tropical fruit, citrus and floral flavours from the Cascade and Amarillo hops.
Brewed especially for the Festival. Triple hopped with fruity Polaris, Citra, and Motueka with a spicy, herbal bitterness from a Belgian yeast strain typically used to ferment Tripels.

Brewed especially for the Festival. This heavyweight, historical IPA is a tribute to the 19th-century ales that survived the four-month journey to India. Built on a robust base of floor-malted Maris Otter, this 6% powerhouse balances deep marmalade sweetness with a firm, spicy bitterness from Admiral and East Kent Goldings hops.

A sessionable Stout. Super smooth and full-bodied with big notes of chocolate and coffee.
An iconic English Session Bitter known for its deep amber colour and complex balance of malt and hops. It features prominent aromas of sweet caramel and doughy malt, followed by flavours of stewed fruits, marmalade, and floral/earthy hops, finishing with a crisp, dry bitterness. An absolute gem of a beer.
