Carlisle Beer and Cider Festival

The 2026 Carlisle Beer and Cider Festival has a deserved reputation for choice and quality and also boasts a superbly curated real cider bar. The venue is located just outside Carlisle Station and so is easily accessible by rail from Scotland, the North East, Yorkshire via Leeds and Settle and Manchester and points south...

Carlisle is also the centre for an extensive bus and coach network in South Scotland and Northern England.

Please note that the beer festival is in the upstairs ballroom at the Station Hotel. There is a lift in the hotel but wheelchair accessibility is less than ideal and will certainly require advance notification to the branch and the hotel staff. Guests with limited mobility but who do not use wheelchairs should be aware that there is a short flight of stairs into the hotel to the lift level, and a short flight of stairs from the lift level into the ballroom. The ballroom stairs also need to be negotiated to and from the toilets. We and the hotel apologise for this layout, which cannot be easily addressed.
