The 47th Newcastle Beer & Cider Festival is back, we are proud to be back at Northumbria Students Union Championing Great Real ale and Cider. With over 100 Beers , 30 Ciders and a selection of other beverages there is sure to be something for everyone
Tokens will be priced at £2.25 (subject to review) for a half of ale/ cider that less than 6% / 7% abv respectively, Thirds only beyond this ABV. You can swap two. tokens for three third tokens if you'd like to sample ale/ cider that less than 6% / 7% abv respectively as thirds
This website is our PreSale to the festival, we expect that there will be tickets available on the door, which we would prefer contactless card payments for. walk ins will be let into the festival as capacity allows
Additional tokens will be available to purchase at the festival. Glasses can be kept as a souvenir or returned for a £2 refund.
Last orders will be called 45 minutes before close, allowing 15 minutes for final orders Bars will close 30 minutes before close(Time at the bar) allowing 30 minutes to finish drinks, return glasses or anything else before closing
Getting to the festival we are on the first floor of northumbria students union (The students have disappeared for easter so we take over)

Fruity golden ale with global hops. Willamette and Cascade from the US, Southern Hemisphere Galaxy and European Bobek and Spalt.
Brewed with a classic Bohemian yeast, slow cold fermented and conditioned for an authentic pilsner taste. Crisp and full of flavour.
Allendale Brewery Co Ltd Suncreek
Flagship IPA of Suncreek Brewery in Florida. Citra hops for a citrus influence and a hint of sunny strawberry – delicious!
A tropical, session pale ale. Notes of citrus, grapefruit and tropical fruits.
Notes of gooseberry, passionfruit and grapefruit. Pleasant bitterness and a smooth mouth-feel.
Very easy drinking pale ale, subtle notes of Citra. Light in body.
Six different malts give this red ale a rich and distinctive depth. Aromas of honey and biscuit with flavours of nuts and spice.

Delicious and rich, a mid brown, chestnut coloured ale. Malty nuttiness, toffee and biscuit notes and a fresh hoppy aroma.
Darwin Brewery Three Kings
All organic beer brewed with bioland malts and Jarrylo and Pacific Gem creating hoppy aromas of pear, banana and blackberry.
A smooth, full bodied stout with depths of flavour. Brewed with strong malts including Chocolate and infused with vanilla.
Golden, with an aroma of oak smoked peach. A full velvety mouthfeel with soft marmalade bitterness and a kick of coriander.
El Dorado hops bring notes of mango, pineapple, lemon and stone fruit. Azacca hops and a touch of Cascade create a gentle bitterness.
