8th Annual Charity Beerfest
Coptoberfest is an annual Charity Beer Festival set in the picturesque village of Copmanthorpe, South-West of the City of York, UK.
In it's inaugural year of 2014, the chosen beneficiaries, St. Leonards Hospice (situated on Tadcaster Rd. York), St. Giles Church in Copmanthorpe and two voluntary / charitable organisations in Copmanthorpe benefited from nearly £3k, a great effort in our first year! ... and to date over £20k has been raised!
Inside the venue, St. Giles Church, there's over 30 real-ales from the surrounding area, including those from the nearest brewery, main-sponsor and organiser Ainsty Ales Brewery as well as Ciders, Gin, Wine & Prosecco, soft-drink and festival-food!
Copmanthorpe Community Choir start musical proceedings followed by some great local acoustic band, with mouth-watering Pie & Peas from "Ged Bell Family Pie-Maker" to keep the hunger-pangs away!
In addition to the food and drink supplied at Coptoberfest there are also a cafe in Copmanthorpe (Little Acorns), one supermarket, an Indian Restaurant, Fish & Chips, Indian takeaway, Chinese takeaway and Pizza takeaway.
We hope you enjoy our Community, Charity beer festival and make use of all that Copmanthorpe has to offer each October .... please respect our village, its residents, clean up after yourselves and leave quietly and safely .... but above all enjoy yourself and we hope to see you year upon year!
Thanks you :-)
