Overall Champion cask beer SIBA North East 2017. This classic American style session pale uses two old-school favourite US hops in Cascade and Chinook. Subtly dry hopped so the fresh citrus and pine notes dominate in this clean, crisp and moreish pale ale.

So good, we named it twice. American Pale Ale with a tropical hoppy character. Beautifully clean and fresh flavours, with a nicely dry resinous finish.

Haast's Eagle
Pale ale packed full of the best New Zealand hops. Nelson Sauvin, Motueka and Southern Cross combine to give subtle, delicate fruit and floral notes which make this an exceptionally easy drinking ale.

Festival Special. Produced in collboaration with York CAMRA and the family of Luke Watson, in memory of Luke, a former York CAMRA Beer & Cider Festival volunteer. American Pale Ale, originally brewed with the help of Wakefield CAMRA. Brewed using a blend of the finest local malts, pale in colour. Then aggressively hopped with some of the fruitiest hops around. Citra and Galaxy give this beer its tropical fruit flavour and finish! Then a generous dry hopping of Cascade, for its grapefruit qualities!

Jolly Cascade Blonde
Easy on the bitterness and is dangerously quaffable. The early though delicate Slovenian hop additions ensure a delicate flavour. This is finished off with a citrus aftertaste only achieved by adding considered levels of the Cascade hop. This well-balanced session beer is a special beer brewed 1 year after our first brew.

About the festival
York Beer Festival is back bigger and better than ever in the same location at York Knavesmire this September.
Due to great success of last year’s event at our new location opposite York Racecourse Grandstand, we’re already well advanced with our planning for this year’s event which takes place from Wednesday 20th – Saturday 23rd September.
As you can see from the photos from last year – we will be housed in a massive marquee serving around 500 different beers featuring the best real ales from Yorkshire and the rest of the UK, keykeg UK craft beers and foreign beers; 100+ ciders; bottled beers, world wines, UK meads and prosecco.
There will be a huge beer garden as usual as well as a great selection of takeaway cuisines from around the world to suit all tastes including high quality vegetarian options.
To make things go with a swing there will be a great line-up of live music at most sessions featuring a roster of talented local artists performing a wide range of different musical genres.

If you're a CAMRA member from anywhere in the UK – you're very welcome to volunteer to work the festival and you’ll receive a package of free food and drink for all sessions you work.
